Appointment of Irfan Tansel as interim Group Managing Director reinforces Al Masaood’s focus on long-term growth and operational excellence

Abu Dhabi, 1 September 2026:  Al Masaood Group has announced an important step in its corporate evolution, implementing a transition of the business to a Private Joint Stock Company structure.

The move reflects the Group’s continued commitment to strengthening governance, enhancing transparency, and building a future-ready organisation and supporting the Group’s long-term growth ambitions across its diverse business portfolio.

As part of this transition, Irfan Tansel has been appointed Managing Director in the interim period; responsible for overseeing the Group’s strategic direction, operational performance, and financial delivery. In his new role, he will also represent the Group in its engagements with government entities, financial institutions, business partners and other stakeholders.

Tansel brings more than four decades of leadership experience, with a strong track record of leading businesses, driving performance, and building high-performing teams. He will assume the interim Managing Director role alongside his current position as Chief Executive Officer of Al Masaood Automobiles; the authorised dealer of Nissan, INFINITI, and Renault in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Al Dhafra Region, where he has led a comprehensive business transformation.

Under his leadership, Al Masaood Automobiles has delivered record performance across sales, aftersales, and customer experience, while embedding a culture of business excellence, innovation, and customer-centricity.

Commenting on the announcement, Khalifa Al Masaood, Chairman of the Shareholders’ Supervisory Board, said: “This is an important moment in the continued evolution of Al Masaood.
