Abu Dhabi, UAE, 13 August 2026: SEHA is set to host the SEHA Family Run at Abu Dhabi Summer Sports 2026 (ADSS26), in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, bringing families and community members together for an evening focused on movement, wellbeing and shared participation.

Taking place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), on Monday, 17 August 2026 at 5:00 pm,the eventis being held in celebration of the Year of the Family. It reflects SEHA’s wider commitment to encouraging healthier lifestyles by creating accessible opportunities for families and community members to remain active and make physical activity part of everyday life.

Designed to welcome participants across different ages and fitness levels, the SEHA Family Run is set to feature four race categories: a 1KM Youth Run for participants aged 4 to 17 years, a 1KM Family Run open to participants aged 4 years and above, as well as 3KM and 5KM races for participants aged 9 years and above. The range of categories provides participants with the opportunity to take part at a level suited to them, creating an inclusive setting where families and community members can enjoy being active together.

The initiative further reflects the importance of community-based activities in encouraging preventive health and long-term wellbeing. By creating an engaging environment for families to move, participate and spend active time together, SEHA aims to reinforce healthy habits while supporting stronger family and community connections.
