Partnership to drive mobile clinics, medical support, capacity building, and digital health initiatives for underserved communities worldwide

Dubai –April 24, 2026: Qatar Charity (QC), one of Qatar’s most prominent and globally respected humanitarian and development organisations with a wide international footprint, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under a structured strategic framework with Aster DM Healthcare, a leading integrated healthcare provider in the UAE and GCC, to strengthen and expand high-impact humanitarian healthcare collaboration across underserved communities worldwide

The agreement establishes a central strategic institutional framework for long-term collaboration, grounded in the integration of resources and expertise to advance humanitarian and development objectives. This partnership also enables the implementation of joint health projects through ensuing agreements that will define the scope, structure, and execution mechanisms of each initiative. The MoU has been formalised under the umbrella of Aster Volunteers, the global CSR and humanitarian arm of Aster DM Healthcare, further reinforcing the Group’s commitment to structured and impact-driven humanitarian outreach.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Nawaf Abdulla AlHammadi, Deputy CEO for Programmes and Communications at Qatar Charity, one of the region’s most influential humanitarian organisations with a significant global presence, and Mr. Kapil Chib, Chief Operating Officer at Aster DM Healthcare – Qatar. The signing marks a significant strategic milestone in expanding access to essential healthcare services for underserved populations.

The partnership places strong emphasis on the deployment and scaling of mobile medical clinics as a core operational pillar, alongside broader healthcare interventions. The MoU explores avenues of collaboration in humanitarian and development initiatives of mutual interest, including joint funding and deployment of mobile medical clinics, which is highlighted as a key delivery platform, provision of medicines and medical diagnostics support, capacity building and professional training for healthcare personnel, development of semi-permanent healthcare facilities, digital transformation initiatives in healthcare delivery, volunteering and co-creation of sustainable development programs, and the exchange of expertise and best practices through joint workshops and structured knowledge-sharing platforms.

Aster Volunteers, the global CSR and humanitarian arm of Aster DM Healthcare, operates across 20 countries with a network of over 100,000 volunteers, serving more than 8 million beneficiaries. The programme is set to expand further across Africa and the Middle East, strengthening its capacity to deliver large-scale, mobile, community-based healthcare interventions.

A key operational strength of the programme is the Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Services (AVMMS), through which 71 Mobile Medical Units are actively deployed across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, delivering free primary healthcare services directly to underserved and remote communities. Since inception, AVMMS has reached over 3.2 million individuals through diagnostics, consultations, treatment, and preventive healthcare services.

Commenting on the signing, Mr. Nawaf Abdulla AlHammadi, Deputy CEO for Programmes and Communications at Qatar Charity, said: “We are pleased to sign this MoU with Aster DM Healthcare as part of our expanding strategic partnerships in the humanitarian health sector. We look forward to developing initiatives that include mobile clinics, medical diagnostics support, and capacity building for healthcare professionals, in order to serve the most vulnerable communities within Qatar Charity’s areas of operation and achieve a sustainable humanitarian impact.”
