Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – 14 November 2025: A new cultural landmark rises on Jubail Island. As the first institution of its kind outside Europe and the fifth school of classical horsemanship, Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA) transforms heritage into art.
At the centre of its vision is Furusiyya: Return to Origins, a weekly performance that follows the journey of the Arabian horse across continents and centuries. The story moves from the stillness of the desert to the royal halls of Europe before returning home to Arabia, where it all began. Through light, rhythm and movement, the arena becomes a space where heritage is renewed, and the dialogue between human and horse moves as poetry.
Beyond the performance, ADREA invites discovery through its cultural spaces. The Furusiyya Gallery traces centuries of Arab horsemanship through artefacts and manuscripts. The Library offers one of the world’s largest equestrian collections with over forteen thousand volumes. In the Atelier, artisans continue the craft of saddle-making, preserving tradition through creation.
Throughout the week, guests can unwind at Ethr at the Library, open daily for quiet reflection. On Saturdays, Knead Bakery opens for the weekly performance. Additional dining experiences opening soon will expand ADREA’s cultural and culinary landscape.
As a centre for heritage, artistry and learning, ADREA is open to all who seek inspiration, connection and awe.
Performances take place every Saturday at 6:00 PM. For tickets and schedules, visit adrea.ae.

About Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA):
Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA) is the world’s fifth school of classical horsemanship and the first to rise beyond Europe. Rooted in the Arab world’s centuries-old tradition of Furusiyya, ADREA represents an authentic Emirati interpretation that unites heritage, discipline and artistry. At its heart are equestrian performances, the preservation of knowledge and immersive learning experiences that reflect the harmony between horse and rider.
ADREA offers accredited programmes from foundational training to advanced degrees, preparing students for professional careers in the equestrian field. As a destination, it is home to the Furusiyya Gallery, one of the world’s most significant equestrian libraries, a saddle-making atelier, a Junior Academy, state-of-the-art stables and training facilities, complemented by dining and leisure experiences. Every detail is guided by the welfare of the horse, upheld through the highest standards of care.
By preserving the values of Furusiyya while advancing its practice for a new generation, ADREA serves as a custodian of cultural legacy. It is here that tradition finds renewal, artistry finds expression, and a new equestrian era begins.
